Barbie maker Mattel: fire your boss after company reports that profits fall

Chief of Mattel, the company that makes Barbie dolls, was sacked on Monday after the company reported profits collapsing. Girls fall already in love with Barbie and Ken.

Bryan Stockton, Mattel's chairman and chief contractor, who was fired by the company's board on Monday morning after the company reported a drop in profits of 59%.

Mattel, which also makes a Fisher-Price toy preschool and Hot Wheels toy cars, said the company needs "promyanaa leadership" to revive the company and quickly adapt to the changing preferences of children.

Barbie is no longer useful to the young girls who are interested in tablets and dolls based on movie characters, such as the hit animated movie of Walt Disney "Frozen".

In 2009, Barbie crashes with more than a quarter of all sales of the dolls in the US decreased to 19.6% in 2013.

Last year, Mattel lost its crown as the largest toy company in the world when it was overtaken by Lego, as the most profitable toy maker in the world.

Stockton, who joined Mattel three years ago and was under the supervision of collapsing sales in the last five quarters, leaving the company with immediate effect. He was quoted in a statement the company.

On Monday, Mattel said that profits in the last three months of 2014 fell by 59% to $ 150m. Sales fell 6% to $ 2 billion.

Mattel's shares fell by 3% to $ 27.17 at 11.30 on Monday.

Stockton was replaced by Christopher Sinclair, as interim president and CEO. Sinclair has served on the board of the toy company since 1996.
