Treasuries fall on Wednesday after U.S. consumer price data rose more than forecast last month, fueling speculation the Federal Reserve will quicken its pace of monetary tightening. The yield on the 10-year Treasury note pushed toward a four-year high. Meanwhile, stocks fell with the S&P 500 index. However, the good economic sentiment and better than expected earnings reports continue to support the confidence of investors.
