01:30 Japan - Reuters Tankan Index

The Reuters Tankan is a monthly survey of leading Japanese companies. It covers a panel of 200 manufacturers and 200 non-manufacturers. The monthly figures are designed to provide early indications of the BOJ's quarterly tankan. The indexes are derivedby subtracting the percentage of respondents who say business conditions are poor from the percentage of those who say they are good.

06:30 Japan - All Industries Activity Index

The All Industries Activity Index measures the monthly change in overall production by all sectors of the Japanese economy. The index closely follows Japanese gross domestic product (GDP) and overall growth figures.

A higher than expected reading should be taken as positive for the JPY, while a lower than expected reading should be taken as negative for the JPY.
