5G technology is the cause of the war

Today, the US-China trade strain has escalated after months of threats. We have to look at the bigger picture, not every single sanction separately. The technology behind the war is 5G - the next generation of mobile internet. 5G is much more than the high-speed mobile internet, technology is the next-generation infrastructure.
5G is seen as the future backbone of everything from cars without drivers to new cities. The trade war is about influencing 5G and setting the standards that will determine the next generation of mobile internet.

Over the next two weeks, we expect an additional $ 16bn to come into force, and if China does not reconsider its trading practices, Donald Trump is ready to impose new $ 200 additional tariffs, and then another $ 300bn.

Donald Trump asked the US Treasury Department to impose import tariffs on Chinese goods at 10% and worth $ 200bn. New customs will come into force if China does not refuse to change bad practices and stop its plans.

China is somewhat limited in the number of repressive tariffs they can apply simply because they do not import as many American goods as the US accepts from Chinese products.
