Air France is about to approve the purchase of between 50 and 70 new Airbus aircraft.
CEO of European aviation giant Ben Smith will announce on Wednesday his plan to fully refit the fleet of the airline. The company's results for the first half of the year will also be released.
This is the first such order for years, with the aircraft being the Airbus A220. The deal is due to be approved on July 30th.
Following the disappointing results of the A380 aircraft, Airbus received a huge number of orders from Delta and JetBlue for a cleaner A220 model.
