Hackers have stolen more than $ 40 million in Bitcoin from Binance - one of the world's largest crypto trading platforms.
According to a company statement, hackers have stolen about 7,000 Bitcoins and have used a number of network penetration methods.
Also, hackers have been able to capture user data like the two-factor protection codes that each user needs to log into.
Binance has been able to track stolen Bitcoins to a single wallet. From Binance they also assured that the attack was only against to their so-called hot wallet that holds about 2% of the company's total Bitcoin. The ability to deposit and withdraw has been suspended, but not the trade. Binance warned that hackers might still be able to control certain accounts to influence prices.
