Apple share fell close to 12%. The business cycle was very long and brought 20% growth. No one should think that this can continue forever. The situation at Apple is not so bad. At this point the firm has 13% of the total market, if this can reach 20%, then for sure the share will go up again. It is not imperative for the new products to be much better than the old ones, just that the Apple followers need to buy the new products.
The company pays 2% dividend and for some investors this is good enough to hold the stock until it recovers. When you are an investor and not a trader, one needs to be patient, to be able to wait and to be able to look beyond the short term problems that come along. The important thing is that fundamentally nothing has changed and all Apple products are excellent.
