Futures pointed to a mixed open for Asian markets on Friday, after U.S. stocks ended a five-day losing streak to close higher.
Australian SPI futures traded up 0.7 percent at 5,169, compared to the ASX 200's last close at 5,145.98.
Nikkei futures in Chicago traded near flat at 15,655, while Osaka futures were up 0.59 percent at 15,460. The Japanese benchmark index finished at 15,434.14 on Thursday.
Japanese stocks are expected to extend losses from yesterday, due to the strong yen.
Today there are no important news that can lead to big movements.
