Asian markets are expected to open at little lower levels, after US indices closed in negative territory.
Japanese Nikkei225 will open 25 points lower at 19,419 and the Australian ASX200 1 point lower at 5612.
Declines in the stock markets were triggered by profit taking from long positions and low liquidity before the holidays.
The latest yen appreciation helps further negativity in the stock market in Japan.
Decline in risk appetite will provoke further adjustments in AUD, NZD and CAD, so declines by those currencies will probably continue during the Asian hours.
