Tuesday's session was good for the Asian markets following the rebound on Wall Street. Investors are looking forward to meeting Trump and Jinping.
The Japanese Nikkei 225 rose 0.2%, while Topix added 0.39% to its value. Kospi finished the session with 0.25% growth.
On Chinese soil, the markets ended mixed: Taiex finished down 0.7%, while Hang Seng Index lost 0.53% of its value. Shanghai Composite rose 0.43% and Shenzhen Composite rose 0.67%.
In Australia, the ASX 200 eventually ended with an increase of 0.29% after a rather hesitant session, and the financial sub-index ended with a 0.66% growth. The energy sector received support from a slight increase in oil prices and ended with a 0.36% growth.
Brent traded at about $ 60.48 with a growth of 2.9% and crude WTI crude oil stood at $ 51.63 with a 2.4% growth.
The dollar index traded around 97.05 against the basket of currencies. The Japanese yen traded at about 113.42 and the Australian dollar was around $ 0.7219.
