Kospi climbed 0.63%, with SK Hynix taking the rally in South Korea.
Japan and South Korea's automotive stocks jumped after the news about Mexico.
Meanwhile, Australian markets were closed due to the Queen's Birthday.
The Japanese yen during the Asian trade recorded a decrease to 108.46 and the Australian dollar remained around 0.700.
