Asian indices will open lower, after the new ballistic missile launch in North Korea. The sentiment is negative and investors will be wary, as they will probably stay away from the risk instruments. U.S. futures indices opened lower as well, and it is highly possible for the Asian indices to follow.
Oil opened higher due to the expectations for eventual military actions between the States and North Korea. The Metals reversed and now are trading higher, as the Yen strengthened, and USD/JPY opened for trading at 113.100. The greenback edged slightly higher.
We expect economic data from New Zealand for Retail Sales and if they are better than expected, NZD can be supported after the big slump from last week during the RBNZ interest rate decision. We expect data from Australia and China as well, as better than anticipated data will support the risk currencies and other risk oriented financial instruments.
Nikkei will open higher at 19,800, ASX 200 will open without any changes, however it is possible to see lower indices during the Asian trading session.
