Shares in Asia are trading in mixed territory today as investors seek to gauge recent developments on the US-China trade front.
Chinese shares are rising for the time being. Shanghai composite added 0.35% and Shenzhen composite increased 0.86%. In Hong Kong, Hang Seng, on the other hand, lost 0.44%.
Chinese imports and exports fell less than expected in October, reflecting positively on the indices.
Expressed in dollars, exports fell 0.9%, while imports fell 6.4% compared to October last year.
In Japan, the Nikkei 225 added 0.15%, with the Softbank Group conglomerate jumping 2.96%. Topix advanced by 0.1%
In South Korea, Kospi decreased by more than 0.17%, with Hynix's shares losing more than 1%. In Australia, the ASX is also down by a quarter percent
