Asian stocks are at risk of breaking below a trading pattern that’s held all this year.
A snap of the upward trend line may mean declines for the region’s equities. “The trend line is a key support and markets may pullback by 5 to 10 percent if it’s broken,” Nicholas Teo, a trading strategist at KGI Securities Pte in Singapore, said by phone.
The MSCI Asia Pacific Index rose 14 percent in the first half of 2017.
