The companies have been in talks over a contract for Disney's programming on AT&T platforms that include AT&T Now and DirecTV, according to a report by CordCutters.com.
AT&T (NYSE: T) has been forging fresh deals this year with content providers after it acquired its own lineup of channels last year with the acquisition of Time Warner in a roughly $85 billion deal.
The industry is going through a massive shift as consumers increasingly opt for digital access that’s creating a range of new players, including Amazon.com and Netflix.
The Dallas-based company has its own digital options for consumers and is slated to roll out HBO Max next year.
