The richest man in the world and CEO of Amazon, Jeff Bezos sold nearly 900,000 shares of the company at $ 1,900.
In this way, he made a profit of $ 1.8 billion from the sale of his shares in the last three days of July. It has to do with his divorce case with his ex-wife, MacKenzie. So far, Bezos has transferred about 25% of MacKenzie, or just 20 million shares, from its stake. Thus, her stake in the company becomes $ 36.8 billion, making her the third richest woman in the world.
This is important because, as part of the divorce case, Bezos reserves all voting rights. This should allay investors' concerns about a possible split in Amazon.
Now Bezos's share has fallen from 16% to 12%. It holds approximately 58.1 million shares. Yesterday after the announcement, the company's shares fell 1.05% to $ 1842.22 per share.
