Bill Ackman Pershing Square Capital's revealed information on Starbucks' new position of about $900m.
In the food and drink sector, Ackman said Pershing holds shares of Chipotle Mexican Grill and Restaurant Brands International, which owns Burger King, Tim Horton's, and Mondelez.
Pershing is trying to recover after a few consecutive years of poor performance. From its peak in 2015, when managing nearly $20billion, the fund has now lost more than half of its assets. It is good to note that the loss of the fund does not come from trade-induced losses, but the withdrawal of capital stemming from the mild market adjustments we observed during the 2015 period. until now.
In September, Pershing Square Capital managed $8.3 billion. US dollar asset, and its net efficiency increased by 15.8%.
Technically, the price definitely managed to break through the emerging mid-term downward trend but currently does not provide good long-term positioning. It is good to wait for a price adjustment to the lower diagonal of the new short-term upward trend.
