One of the largest crypto trading sites is seeking the opportunity to partner with governments and companies to develop a new digital currency to compete with Libra, the Facebook crypto project.
Binance CEO Zhao Changpeng has announced that he has launched a blockchain project called Venus. The aim of the project will be to enable developing and developed countries to create their own crypto currencies.
Unlike Facebook, which announced its project in partnership with 27 companies from Visa to Uber, Binance did not announce whether other major players would join Venus. Instead, the company welcomes any partner from government to a corporation who wants to participate. Those who have an interest in influencing globally and cooperating in the creation of a new, open alliance and society.
Binance already have experience in launching stable coin. Earlier this year they released a stable coin tied to the British pound.
