One of Bitwise Asset Management's leading companies in digital assets said the majority of cryptocurrency will disappear in the near future.
Matt Hougan, head of analysis and research at the company, has announced a bleak forecast that 95% of digital assets will be lost. But not everything is just a gloom in the world of Blockhain. Hougan mentions that Bitwise has plans to take advantage of the impending collapse. Prior to joining the firm, Hougan worked hard on the idea of a crypto ETF product. Namely working on ETF.com, Bitwise executives saw the ETF as an idea for trillions of dollars.
Though focused on crypto assets in general, Bitmex is also interested in developing a potential ETF product. The company claims to have released the world's first crypto-globe index. And most of all, Hougan plans to work on developing his own Cripp ETF for the company. It will be composed of ten different cryptocurrencies. Whether it will be successful or not, it is yet to be understood.
The US Financial Supervision Commission has repeatedly denied requests for the creation of the crypto ETF.
The regulator has stated that they will hardly allow any application before approval to stabilize the market.
