Companies with a small market capitalization in the eurozone gave investors a profit twice as big as that of companies with a large market capitalization in 2017. According to BNP Paribas SA, this behavior of small businesses can be repeated in 2018. Despite the temporary political turmoil in Germany, the euro remains with a good outlook and a large number of investors expect the upward trend in the currency to remain.
Here's what the big banks of Wall Street and City Of London expect for EUR/USD
BNP is of the opinion that medium-sized businesses are not so strongly influenced by the sharp rise in EUR against other currencies, even on the contrary. The basic chart shows the movement of the Mid Cap Stoxx 50 and the spot rate of the euro against the dollar. It is impressive that the rise in EUR has led to a rise in shares in the index for one year, and in recent months their movement is almost identical.
