Boeing has announced that they are working hard on software fixes and said they will be ready within a few weeks. A puzzling software problem has led to two fatal catastrophes in Ethiopia and Indonesia. The airline also assured that the design of the airplane complied with the requirements and that all procedures for the model were followed.
The US Department of Transportation and Justice Department have launched investigations against Boeing and the Federal Aviation Administration, the airline's main regulator. The US Congress has also scheduled hearings on both sides. Boeing has said that in addition to improvements to aircraft software, an improvement in pilot training will be forthcoming.
The Ethiopian airline regulator also announced that they would also announce their investigation report in the crash site within a week. We are still waiting for the data from the black box found.
