Brexit in several possible variants

It seems that Britain is approaching the possibility of how to cross Brexit in several different ways. This, after all, may not be such a bad option.

When we have a particularly "slow" group of students who can not pass the easiest exam, a pretty good and easy solution is by offering a test with several different answers. Faced with choosing between four possible answers to one question, the chances of even the poorest student to correct the answer will rise.

The current, chaotic political situation seems to take things to a "test" with three or four possible answers. However, it is unclear whether Parliament or society will be tested - probably both. Strangely, but this may be the best way to get out of the situation. With less than 100 remaining days to Brexit, Theresa May will hardly try to reject this opportunity.

As a matter of fact, May in the negotiation process from the beginning played out her best cards she had. She has declared Article 50 too early, and now the time is against her. Britain will now have to officially go out on March 29, 2019, whether there is a deal or not. In fact, it has not triggered the necessary "no deal" preparations, instead it continues to tell the UK people that this is a better deal than a bad deal. But the Europeans, knowing that "no bargain" scenario would greatly hurt the British economy, smiled calmly and waited for May, who was already running the time, just to file.

May now has to take care of the Brexit deal with a long transition and an unexplained Irish problem. However, there are also politicians in Parliament who have plans for the destruction of May, but alongside the gloomy attitudes have appeared and people who keep it alive. Her most furious opponents are so-called. Tory Brexiteers, led by Jacob Rees - Mogg. They are fanatics who would prefer not to have a deal despite the damage that this event will cause. It was precisely because of them that last May that she had to postpone the vote in Parliament on her compromised plan and had to travel to Brussels for a meeting with EU leaders. Her mission was to seek support that she did not actually receive. And what did the Brexiteers do? An unconcerned vote of no confidence against Teresa May. In the end, 117 of the 317 Tory Ministers voted against May, which was enough to hurt her, but not to defeat her.

It happened the opposite. Thanks to Tory's vote, May is now safe for the next 12 months, when the right to call a new vote of no confidence is forbidden. Now, however, Brexit will be led by a man to whom they have lost their trust.

The other with the Brexit plan is the Labor Party leader, Jeremy Corbyn. His plan, however, is so skillful that we are simply invisible. He has never revealed it, and he probably does not know exactly what his plan is about. His ignorance, however, sincerely or falsely, makes sense as the Toryta continues to call firing squads. Corbyn's slim thought is to shut down the government and convene extraordinary parliamentary elections. Unfortunately, however, he has nothing else to offer to the British people, apart from another division. Corbyn does not support the idea of a new Brexit referendum.

Here comes the idea of the exam with several possible answers. Initially it can be held in Westminster and then across the country. In Parliament, it can even be expressed as a clear vote. Ministers will be given the right to vote to express their preferences. May will be firmly opposed. Over time, however, May and Corbyn would change their minds, given that no alternative was found until then.

The initial referendum had to give the chance for a vote that was "once in a lifetime." But also those who voted in 2016 "Leave" had no idea what the consequences would be. In other developments, Britain can deny Article 50 to get the time to organize and hold a referendum. Europe will most likely respect that desire. It will also open up the possibility for Europeans to "sweeten" the deal with conditions that would attract Britain to remain in the union.

The test with several possible answers has three advantages. First, voters will be more aware of what they are actually voting on. Secondly, a much larger majority in the vote will be created, which will strengthen the democratic legitimacy of the event. Third, the people of Great Britain will be 100% responsible for the final decision. There will be no more excuses, or at least they will be much less than now, where Parliament produces a version after a development event and another Brexit.

Unfortunately, however, the options will be more divisive than unifying. The British people will have to decide, but it will be a decision that will not bring with it the mood for easy escape from the situation. Fabulous plans for a comfortable level of exit from the EU to meet all the demands of the people. Let voters be given the option of several voting choices and let them vote as they see fit. That would be the most honest for them.
