Bullish sentiment on SP500 options

Even though investors are preparing for increased stock volatility, they’re paying up for bullish options on an exchange-traded fund tracking U.S. equities. The cost of betting on a 10 percent increase in the SPDR S&P 500 ETF Trust in the next month is at the highest since July 2014 relative to contracts wagering on the market remaining at current levels. After starting last week with its biggest one-day drop of the year, the benchmark index for American shares recovered, ending on Friday within one point of its record.
