Can a drone be a prerequisite for war?

The United States canceled its military operation against Iran yesterday evening after initially receiving a "green" light from Trump. Reversing this move would drastically escalate the situation. However, tensions between the two countries are high enough.

The United States has warned that they will most likely back off after Iran dropped a US dron over the Hormuz Strait. According to an anonymous source, the operation would have been done with air strikes, which at the last moment were canceled for unknown reasons. The eventual holding of such a share will be a prerequisite for a wider conflict in the volatile region that supplies one-third of the world's oil.

It is still unclear exactly what caused the cancellation of the command. The move, however, shows once again that Trump is quite hesitant when it comes to the use of military force. He repeatedly and fiercely spoke against North Korea and Iran, but then his rhetoric became peaceful and passive when the real threat of an open conflict appeared. On two occasions, as he is in post, he has ordered military operations against targets in Syria.

The White House declined to comment on the situation, and the State Department responded but was late.

In recent weeks, the United States has several times sent fresh military elements to the Middle East. But the number is small - only 2,000 people. This does not give a clear premise that military missions are ahead of them. But the fact is, for some military elements, that the arrival timetable was narrowed, and the mariners had been prolonged.

If the US actually attacks Iran, it will have very serious consequences. Proxy forces and allies of both countries are countries like Lebanon, Syria, Iraq and Yemen. Broken relationships can kill in an unpredictable way. Not only to the United States, but also to Israel, and the creation of a prerequisite for total deterring logistics chains for oil supplies.

The last time the United States launched a military campaign against Iran was in 1988 with Operation Praying Mantis. During the operation, the states had sank two Iranian ships and destroyed two Iranian intelligence platforms. The motif was then the USS Samuel B. Roberts, who had landed on a Gulf mine. Later that year, an American cruiser dropped a scheduled civilian Iranian plane, killing 300 people. The US then apologized, saying it was a mistake.

Regarding the downloaded dron, the United States said Global Hawk had flown in an international space over 34km of Iranian territory when it was shot down. Iran says the dron has flown over their territory.
