Digital coin trading platform Coinbase launches its own debit card in the UK. The goal is to make it easier for customers to pay in stores and online with cryptocurrencies, such as Bitcoin, Ethereum and Litecoin.
The Coinbase card is a contactless Visa debit card that has a direct connection to the cardholder's account. The map will be accepted by any store in the world that recognizes and accepts Coinbase. So the card will reveal the possibility of buying and investing with digital currencies through a platform.
Traders themselves will not accept payments in Cripples currencies. Instead, Coinbase will charge a small fee of 2.5% to convert Fiat money, such as the British pound, to Ethereum, for example.
Coinbase said that for the first subscribers, 1000 UK customers will be free of charge. Each card would then cost roughly $ 6.60.
There will be no monthly maintenance fees or maintenance of the Coinbase account itself. Customers will also be able to withdraw up to 200 pounds from ATMs with the card.
