Cable is a notable gainer here in Asia to open a holiday-impacted week. GBP/USD is ip from around 1.2620 late Friday toward 1.2680.
EUR, AUD, NZD, CAD are all higher against the dollar also.
USD/JPY had dropped early in the session on the weekend US political news (on Powell, one and two, and also Mattis), with Mnuchin providing more (one and two) but after a 30-odd point 'gap' down its retraced pretty much all of it to be be be down around 15 points from late Friday now.
Gold has been strong also, up about 8 USD
