While US stocks declines worries traders, FX markets remain calm. The JPMorgan Global FX Volatility Index barely reacted to the negativity, even after the Cboe Volatility Index, a stock index uncertainty barometer known as VIX, rose, leaving the gap between the two at the broadest levels since January. Morgan Stanley's strategists said this week that central bank divergence, as well as weakness in stock markets, would be needed to boost currency volatility.
