Dennis Gartman: "I strongly believed in Blockchain, but I will not look at it anymore"

"I will not buy Bitcoin this or the next year, nor will I put a downside, I do not look for anything from it, it just does not make sense, I strongly believe in the technology behind it, but in Bitcoin itself, do I believe at all? - said Dennis Gartman, also known as the "Commodity King" in December.

What Gartman once again grabbed his attention was his investment in a Blockchain company, which has been the victim of investigative journalism and subsequently wiped out over 20 percent of its worth, days after his comment that Bitcoin makes no sense.

The company in question is called Riot Blockchain Inc., the former Bioptix. It focuses on animal health products and veterinary diagnostic technologies. Last September, he invested nearly $ 2m. in the company, which reached a value of over $ 11m during the growth. All this results only from the re-branding of Bioptix by Riot Blockchain Inc. and the re-request of the management and that it is directed to the use of block technology. Nearly three months later, at the end of December, when CNBC released an investigative report, the company's shares collapsed by more than 20 percent, and is currently trading with a 72 percent decline.
