Everything seems calm in the world of equities: The S&P 500 Index closed at yet another record high, and the Cboe Volatility Index is near its lowest level ever. One gauge, though, shows that investors are still paying for insurance. The Cboe SKEW Index, which measures the cost of tail-risk hedging, has rallied 10 percent in the past three days, the most since January, to reach a seven-month high.
