Donald Trump has tweeted again, keeping his pressure on the central bank
"The Federal Reserve likes to watch our producers suffer from their exports at the expense of other parts of the world. Has anyone looked at what almost all other countries are doing to take advantage of the good old US? The Fed has been wrong for too long ! "
Earlier today, the president of the Fed in New York, William Dudley, said the central bank should not help Trump in his devastating attempt to escalate the trade war. "He even suggested that the Fed not try to influence the election. it does not cut interest rates further in 2020. He says Trump's re-election threatens the US and the global economy, as well as the Fed's independence.
The Fed replied:
"Fed's actions and decisions guide only the congressional mandate and aim to maintain price stability and maximum employment."
Oh my God...
US stocks are near the bottom of the session.
