The US stock markets surged with heavy buying in all the major indices.

The S&P rose 116.65 points or 4.96% at 2467.75. The low reached 2346.58. That low took the price below the 200 week MA but only 2 points (at 2348). Buyers came in, and the price rocketed higher.
The Nasdaq did even better. It rose 361 points or 5.84% at 6554.35. The low price was way down at 6214.336. The price closed just off the day highs at 6555.52. Technically for the Nasdaq, the price low reached 6190. That was closing in on the 50% midpoint of the move up from the 2016 low. That level comes in at 6171.
The Dow rose $1086 or 4.98% to 22878.45. The gain was the largest daily point gain in history. The low price reached 21712 before moving higher.
