ECB Lautenschlaeger is optimistic that soon the Central Bank will end the quantitative program. This comes out just a week after Draghi said that End of the program has not been a topic of the last ECB meeting.
In Germany the inflation during December jumped at 1.7% and the country does not need this stimulus program. It has to be noted that Lautenschlaeger is the only German born on the board of the Bank. She continue with the fact that the inflation is stable and raises slowly, and that the Central Bank should not wait for long before starting to cut the program.
The inflation at the Eurozone is 1.1% which is below their target of 2%. The program should not be ended at once but rather slowly, which ECB had already begun during one of the previous meetings where the Bond-buying value of the program was lowered.
If the USD does not find support soon, and investors loose faith in the FED to raise the interest rates soon, we might see a higher price for the EUR/USD pair.
