The European Central Bank will announce in September that it plans to reduce asset purchases in the first quarter of 2018, according to a new Bloomberg survey.
While the share of respondents saying this has fallen from the previous poll, a majority still see the institution tapering quantitative easing starting early next year, albeit over a longer seven- month period.
The Governing Council is gathering in Tallinn this Thursday for one of its regular out-of-Frankfurt sessions.
