Strategists at Goldman Sachs Group Inc. and Bank of America Corp said that emerging markets are at the bottom after three years of losses on currencies and shares.
It is not that likely to embark on a bullish run. Rather, the mood of investors have become so depressed that even a slight improvement in the economic outlook will be enough for positive movements of assets, such as the Mexican peso, Russian ruble, Indian bonds and shares, analysts say.
"We are a little more optimistic about next year," said Geoffrey Dennis, head of global emerging markets strategy at UBS Securities LLC in Boston, who prefers Chinese, Indian and Russian equities.
Emerging Markets Index The MSCI decreased by 30%.
