The negative relationship between a dollar index and emerging-market equities that has lasted for most of 2017 is reversing as they have moved in tandem since early September. Typically, the dollar strength is a headwind for the emerging markets and their assets, said Kenta Tadaide, market economist in Tokyo at Mizuho Bank Ltd. Currently, stocks in developing nations have been supported by strong corporate earnings amid global economic recovery story.
