European equity index futures point to a lower open for the region’s stocks, tracking a global selloff.
EuroStoxx 50 futures down 0.2% at 3,556, FTSE 100 futures down 0.1% at 7,454, DAX futures down 0.1% at 12,609.5, CAC 40 futures down 0.2% at 5,306 S&P 500 futures up 0.2% at 2,362.4.
“The Trump administration has put the stock market in a tailspin,” David Madden, market analyst at CMC Markets, write in note. “There was so much bullish sentiment behind Trump’s economic policies, but now that he may not even be around to execute them, investors are scrambling to get out.”
