Since February 2016, Jordan Belfort’s white 1991 Ferrari Testarossa has been announced for sale. Currently, the car remains unsold.
If you have seen “The Wolf Of Wall Street”, you must remember when Jordan Belfort (played by DiCaprio) was struggling to crawl into his white Lamborghini Countach? However, the real wolf Jordan Belfort owned an equally captivating Ferrari Testarossa, which now can become yours.
The Ferrari had only two owners and has 8,300 miles on it. Moreover, it was taken a great care of, unlike the Lamborghini in the movie. The Italian beauty was purchased by Belfort in 1991 from a New York Ferrari Dealership, Kessler Motors. In order to prove car’s authenticity, the owner encloses original warranty book and supply invoices signed by Belfort. A set of matching luggage, where current owner claims to have found a $50 bill, also comes with the car.
The car is being sold in Monaco, by Monegasque Classics Sarl Dealership. The price, of course, is under request, but Testarossa’s current price on auctions varies from $150,000 to $215,000. Dealership’s representatives claim that there have been an interest expressed by celebrities and collectors. However, it is unknown whether Belfort’s reputation will help to push its price up. If it happens, the dealership might take the car off the sale and to list it up for the auction for serious collectors’ attention.
If you ever decide to purchase this car, make sure you refer to The Wolf of Wall Street story with caution.
