US stock index futures traded a little higher on Friday morning as investors watched progress in US and Chinese trade talks and responded to the latest changes in Brexit.
The market focus is largely in line with the development of world trade, as feelings have improved on a report that more progress has been made in negotiations between the two largest economies in the world.
Chinese Deputy Prime Minister Liu talks with US Secretary of State Steven Munchin and US Trade Representative Robert Lightheiser, Xinhua news agency reported on Friday.
Meanwhile, Trump said on Thursday that the US would probably know the next three or four weeks for a possible trade deal with China.
In Europe, lawmakers from Britain voted on Thursday to demand a delay in the UK's exit from the EU. This marked the end of a dramatic trilogy of events this week, which added even more confusion throughout the Brexit process. British Prime Minister Teresa May is preparing once more to try to win her approval for the two-time deal with Brexit.
