Hedge funds flee Facebook

Facebook Inc. saw the biggest net drop in hedge fund investment in the second quarter, with total holdings reduced by $2.6 billion, according to regulatory filings on Monday.

In addition to the top five losers shown in this chart, consumer-focused Internet companies Netflix Inc., Paypal Holdings Inc. and JD.com. Inc. were also among the top 10 sales.

Meanwhile Altaba Inc., the holding company that controls Yahoo! Inc.’s stake in Chinese e-commerce giant Alibaba Group Holding Ltd, was the biggest beneficiary, receiving $4.26 billion from funds in the quarter.
