Here are the Oscar winners for this year

This year's Oscars season has been full of controversy, and the big night had its share of surprises.

The 91st Academy Awards started with a performance from Queen and Adam Lambert. The first award for the night went to Regina King for her supporting performance in "If Beale Street Could Talk."

The biggest winner of the night was the movie "Green Book" that won the award for best-picture, despite the criticism it met during the season.

Olivia Colman won best actress in a shocking upset, besting seven-time nominee Glenn Close, who has yet to win.

Rami Malek won the best actor Oscar for his performance as Freddie Mercury in "Bohemian Rhapsody." The movie won four of the five Oscars it was nominated for.

Marvel Studios won its first Oscar for best costume design for "Black Panther" and the wins didn't stop there. The movie also won for production design and original score.

Alfonso Cuaron's "Roma" won best foreign film, marking the first time a Mexican film has ever won in the category. This brought the first award ever for the streaming platform Netflix.
