Loading...North Korea has a well-earned reputation for a corporate cemetery for foreign investors, but the downward tension between the country and the rest of the world causes many of them to look with another eye to what is happening. Besides the disciplined and relatively cheap labor force, North Korea owns huge reserves of rare minerals, which according to the Institute of Natural Resources of the country are valued at over $ 6 trillion.
This is an amount that Donald Trump will surely want to get, or at least a part of it. Given the president's business temperament, in return for peace in the country and denuclearization aid, he will most likely advocate for US mining companies to work as foreign investors in North Korea in the near future. When this happens, we can not say, but if North Korea takes the path of capitalism, surely the US will take advantage of it.
