Today, an interim vote on the amendments to the overall Brexit proposal of May was held. The last one was in January. Five proposals have been dealt with today.

  • Amendment A - Adoption of the Brexit Plan of the Labor Force on the Maintaining of a Permanent Customs Union - the proposal was rejected.
  • Amendment K-No-Deal Brexit to be totally rejected as scenarios - the proposal was rejected.
  • Amendment C - giving Parliament the opportunity to support May, which promised to vote in mid-March to seek support for the deal, no-deal Brexit or delay - the proposal was withdrawn entirely from the vote.
  • Amendment B - Ensuring the protection of the rights of EU citizens living in the UK - the proposal was adopted without a vote.
  • Amendment F - The Corrigendum provides a vote on 14 March to extend Brexit if May's proposal is rejected - the proposal was accepted.

The Cable (in the yellow voting period) does not respond to the vote on the changes. It appears that market participants will concentrate on the vote on 12 March. Until then, of course, the information noise will not stop, with any news or rumor having an effect on the pound.
