Over the past two weeks Goldman Sachs published in the blog of the Bank opinions of eight randomly selected trainees for their first impressions of the investment bank.

Trainees share their experiences in the last five weeks. Publications bear titles such as "Why I want to work at Goldman Sachs", "Study My Prejudice" and "Overcoming challenges through training."

The company has more engineers and programmers working for it than Facebook, and considered himself a rival technology companies, giving start in the career of IT talents.

Nikhil, an intern in the technology team in India, says: "Being a computer programmer at Goldman Sachs? I wondered how on earth engineers in computer science and people from the financial district would work together. These two areas seemed completely opposite to me. But I am here in collaboration with fellow trainees from trade, psychology and computer science. "

Goldman Sachs said on its website that promotes cooperation and that "respects any opinion of everyone (even the newest trainee)" and that "ideas can come from anywhere."

Goldman also said that to get the best people should draw from the largest pool of candidates. According to another intern, "the uniqueness of each person formed culture in GS and this is what makes things work."

Ultimately, the bank is trying to reach thousands of workers who have different career expectations, and to overcome the stereotype that investment banks are hierarchical working mostly men, mostly white.

One trainee said: "I was afraid that some stereotypes of investment banks will prove true. All I can say is that Goldman discard these stereotypes out the window."
