JP Morgan and Goldman Sachs paid the top bonuses of their top bankers for 2017, an average of $1.5m. compared to $1m. for local competitors HSBC and Barclays. According to a survey of 13 banks operating on City of London, the average bonus paid is $1.06m. For comparison before the new regulations aimed at limiting bonuses for top bankers, the average bonus at the end of 2013. was $2m.
