Economic Calendar for the Asian Stock Exchange Session - 31.08.2018
02:30 Japan - CPI
02:50 Japan - Industrial production
04:00 China - Manufacturing PMI
Investors' focus will fall on Trump's latest statement on China's exports. I expect the Asian indices to start the session with a downward trend, which will be kept to the very end. Traders are also expecting China's manufacturing PMI data, which is expected to see a decline. With worse data than expected, sales of Asian stock markets will worsen, and vice versa, with better data than anticipated growth, the new tariffs that China will have to bear will be limited in the background.
