Kubrat Pulev beat Kevin Johnson in points in Arena Armeec. With success after 12 rounds he defended the Intercontinental Belt of the World Boxing Association (WBA).

Pulev is now a mandatory contender for the World Boxing Federation (IBF) world title, Anthony Joshua.

For the Bulgarian, this is the 25th victory of 26 professional ring games. The duel proved to be difficult for Pulev, who acted cautiously and patiently, but he consistently deserved success.

For Johnson this was the eighth loss of 39 professional ring games. The American played his second fight since re-launching his career after nearly a two-year absence following his loss by Anthony Joshua with a technical knockout in the second round in May 2015.
