Leon Cooperman is back with his favorite stock picks. The legendary hedge fund investor who runs Omega Advisors shared his favorite 19 stocks.
Favorite Sector: Energy. Cooperman is most bullish on energy stocks, and believes that oil can reach close to $60 this year. Can Stocks Go Higher? Cooperman believes the market is fully priced and ahead of fundamentals.
He cites three key reasons:
1. He is concerned that the president's pro-growth agenda may not be enacted this year
2. Productivity remains low
3. With the economy near full employment, rising wages could lead to higher inflation
Is There A Bubble In Equities?
Cooperman, who is a member of the 2017 Forbes World Billionaires List, does not see a bubble in equities, but does see one in fixed income. He believes that the economy is growing and that central banks remain open to raising rates and tightening monetary policy.
