LG G6 review

The LG G6 is like no other smartphone LG has made, and it's certainly a step in the right direction.

Hopefully, it heralds a new era for LG flagship smartphones, complete with premium materials and interesting design choices, like rounded screen corners.

On top of improved design, LG finally woke up and ditched some antiquated Android features, like removable batteries, which makes way for modern features like water resistance.

It also allows LG to add meaningful and popular features, like water resistance.

Most flagship Android smartphones have water resistance, which is a buffer against "that one time" you accidentally drop your phone in shallow water.

The LG G6 is rated with IP68 water and dust resistance, which means it can survive in up to five feet of water for about 30 minutes. It's fine for accidental drops in the toilet, and even taking pictures under shallow water. I wouldn't take it to the deep end of the pool, though.
The G6 still lets you add to its built-in 32GB of storage with a microSD card. Good thing, too, because 32GB could be a little low for some.

The G6's 13-megapixel camera is very good, and I'd be happy to use it to capture my memories.

The G6 has a sharp 1440p (2K) 5.7-inch screen that's slightly taller and narrower than most smartphone screens, and my views are mixed.
The LG G6 costs $650, whereas the base price for the Galaxy S8 is a whopping $720. If you'd rather not go over the $700 mark, then go for the LG G6. Or better yet, go for Google's Pixel, which costs the same as the G6, has one of the best smartphone cameras, and runs stock Android. Just note that the Pixel is not water resistant.
