London Stock Exchange Group has announced results - 99.89 percent of votes cast at a shareholder meeting were in favour of Deutsche Boerse deal. That's according to Reuters.
During early trading both LSE and DB are trading in negative territory and the news might bring positive sentiment to erase some losses.
Now that UK shareholders have approved the merger deal between LSE and Deutsche Boerse attention will now turn to next week’s vote of German shareholders who also have to approve it along with any reaction German, as well as EU regulators who might well attempt to change the terms of the deal in light of the recent UK vote to leave the EU.
