In the prepared testimony of the US House of Representatives, the CEO of Facebook Inc. Mark Zuckerberg, said that all Facebook's problems are his fault.
We did not do enough to prevent the use of abusive tools, especially in terms of fake news, foreign interference in the election, hate speech, developer policy, and privacy, Zuckerberg said.
"It was my fault and sorry," Zuckerberg added, according to a copy of the prepared testimony before his appearance before the Committee on Energy and Trade on Wednesday. "I started Facebook, I manage it, and I'm responsible for what's happening here."
Zuckerberg has to testify before Congress on Tuesday and Wednesday, in the midst of the worst crisis in Facebook's history. He will try to explain how much Facebook contributes to the world by saying he did not have a broad picture of the effects of the company's technology.
Zuckerberg met with MPs at Capitol Hill, including Senator Bill Nelson of Florida, Chief Trade Commissioner and Chuck Grasley, Republican at Iowa and chairman of the Senate Judiciary Committee.
